A Brief History of Nar Nar Goon FC
The Nar Nar Goon Football Club (NNGFC) has provided a strong community sporting club since its first competition team in 1910, entered in the Berwick District Football Association.
After World War 1, the club reformed in 1921 under the presidential leadership of Jack Spencer. The club established a regular team in the Central Gippsland Football Association, with a first premiership coming soon after in 1924. During this successful era for the club, a further 5 senior premierships were won in 13 years.
In 1932 NNGFC began its long relationship with the West Gippsland Football Association/League up to 2004. During this time our Reserves and junior teams of Thirds and Fourths teams established themselves.
Our club has experienced much success is recent years across our Senior and Junior teams in the Ellinbank and District Football League and won several Club Championships.
Our recent Centenary celebrations in 2010 were capped off with our latest Senior premiership.
In 2017 we again re-established our relationship with West Gippsland football.
This website recognises some of the hard working club persons, life members and committee who have provided invaluable service to the club and teams going back to our inaugural season of 1910.
Please explore our history section which includes results summaries and detailed match results for every season for all teams, along with team coaches, captains, premiership players, best and fairest (club and league), and those who played at the highest level in this country.
